Homemade bench cookies
I made my own version of bench cookies out of 2×4 blocks with left over epoxy after scarf jointing chine logs.
Looks like I’ll get some good mileage out of them but will find out with my next jig saw work.

Sanding with120grit.
Coaming glued to the forward deck
Chine log beveled and edge rounded.
Bottom glassed – now need to add 3″ tape.
Dry fitting started from the aft end first with a screw for better leverage bending the logs.
Stem dry-fit after cut to size. It was cut 1/16″-1/8″ short at the bottom. I’ll use epoxy fillet there to fill the void.
Side panels completed!
Here is a close-up. I am pretty happy how it turned out.
All three sections jointed.

Edge of the bottom that meets the end of the transom. Did not set the router depth properly for the first 2 inches.

I thought I bought enough clamps…; starboard side gunwale is temporarily clamped to provided balanced tension to the hull while the port side epoxy is curing

These are pretty awesome. I actually didn’t know bench cookies were a thing, but now I certainly need to build some of my own from your design.
Also, I launched my boat and went sailing on Sunday for the first time. Took a bit less than a year to build my first boat and I couldn’t be happier about it. Congratulations!!! I just checked out your link and Titania is really beautiful. I am amazed you could built her in less than a year. I’ll keep push forward.
